The Vision for The Darling Dachshund

I must confess that my passion and adoration for Dachshunds shaped the creation of this website in what felt like an effortless way not to say that there haven’t been some unexpected twists and turns along the way!

Although I had Poppy as my muse for inspiration, I really didn’t have any images in mind initially when it came to product design. But I did know this: the images had to be ‘darling’. Darling is defined by: a deeply loved or cherished person or thing. Something that is adored, dear, beloved and precious. I prayed that God would bring me the perfect graphic designer and, well, I think He did! When I first saw the initial product images of Poppy, my heart just melted and I thought to myself, “These images are so darling!” and I do hope you agree! I really wanted to help inspire much needed joy and happiness into  people's lives with these whimsical products as they do in mine. 

As many entrepreneurs starting out know, my budget kept me to an initial limit of production BUT, I see that changing and progressing very quickly thanks to you the wonderful humans who will be buying products from TheDarlingDachshund.com. I would very much like the feedback of my customers to influence new product development AND I am excited to share that when the timing is right, Dachshund Accessories will be part of the offerings! So think Dachshund sweaters, raincoats, stairs for sofa’s (& beds), long and low breed need accessories and all sorts fun Dachshund gear!
